School is open with no restrictions.  Sports and after school activities are going full speed ahead.  And Charles County schools are making exciting changes to better prepare students for college and careers.

 Doria Fleisher, Charles County Community Engagement Coordinator, talks with Dr. Maria Navarro, Charles County Superintendent of Schools, about the school system’s many changes.  Learn about newly expanded career education programs.  Hear how the school system is better preparing students through the expansion of high school education programs down to the middle schools.  Get an early scoop on plans for expanded high school dual enrollment programs with the College of Southern Maryland.

Dr. Navarro is the county’s first Hispanic School Superintendent and the first female Hispanic School Superintendent in Maryland.
